1. PURPOSE OF THIS POLICY
This Acceptable Use Policy explains in clear terms what is allowed and what is not allowed when using moris.click. The purpose of this document is to protect the integrity of the platform, protect legitimate businesses, protect users, and protect Whitestone Ventures Limited from misuse, fraud, abuse, reputational harm, and legal exposure.
Because moris.click is a public online business directory, the actions of one user can directly affect many others. False information, harmful content, technical abuse, or dishonest conduct can damage trust in the entire platform. For this reason, strict rules are necessary.
By accessing, registering, listing a business, subscribing to a paid plan, or otherwise interacting with moris.click, you confirm that you understand and agree to comply with this Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.
Failure to comply may result in suspension, permanent removal, legal action, or cooperation with authorities where required.
2. WHO THIS POLICY APPLIES TO
This Policy applies to every individual or entity interacting with moris.click. This includes business owners, company representatives, marketing agencies managing listings on behalf of clients, visitors browsing the directory, advertisers, and paid subscribers.
The rules apply equally to users on the Basic (free) plan and those on Pro or Elite paid subscriptions. Paying for a listing does not grant immunity from compliance requirements. All users must follow the same conduct standards.
Even if you do not create an account but simply browse listings or collect information from the website, this Policy applies to you. The moment you access the platform, you agree to comply with these standards.
No user has a special exemption from these rules unless explicitly granted in writing by Whitestone Ventures Limited.
3. ACCURACY, HONESTY & BUSINESS AUTHENTICITY
All information submitted to moris.click must be truthful, accurate, complete, and not misleading in any way. The platform is intended to help users find legitimate businesses operating in Mauritius. Providing false or exaggerated information harms the credibility of the entire directory.
You must provide your real business name, correct contact details, accurate physical address (if applicable), and truthful description of services. You must not invent qualifications, exaggerate experience, claim partnerships that do not exist, or present your business as officially certified when it is not.
You may only create a listing if you are the owner of the business or have proper authority to act on its behalf. Creating fake companies, impersonating competitors, or listing a business without authorisation is strictly prohibited.
If we suspect false representation, we may request supporting documents such as a business registration certificate. Failure to provide reasonable verification may result in suspension or removal without refund.
4. PROHIBITED CONTENT
You may not upload, publish, display, or distribute any content that violates the law, promotes illegal activity, or harms others. This includes content that is fraudulent, defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, threatening, obscene, or misleading.
Examples of prohibited content include, but are not limited to:
- False claims about competitors
- Hate speech or discriminatory language
- Pornographic or sexually explicit material
- Content promoting scams or illegal services
- Content encouraging violence or harmful activity
- False testimonials or fabricated reviews
You must also avoid language designed to deceive users, including unrealistic guarantees of results or misleading pricing structures.
We reserve the right to remove any content that, in our sole judgment, damages the integrity, safety, or reputation of the platform. Removal may occur without prior notice if the content poses immediate legal or reputational risk.
5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY COMPLIANCE
You may only upload content that you legally own or have permission to use. This includes logos, brand names, photographs, graphics, written descriptions, promotional videos, and marketing materials.
You must not upload copyrighted images taken from the internet without proper licensing. You must not copy descriptions from competitor websites. You must not use trademarks belonging to other businesses unless authorised.
If a third party claims that your listing infringes their intellectual property rights, we may immediately remove the disputed content while investigating. We are not required to determine ownership disputes and may rely on reasonable evidence when taking action.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that all content submitted complies with intellectual property laws. Whitestone Ventures Limited is not liable for user-uploaded copyright violations.
6. SPAM, DATA HARVESTING & UNSOLICITED MARKETING
moris.click is a business discovery platform, not a database for bulk marketing extraction. Users must not harvest email addresses, scrape phone numbers, copy listing data in bulk, or use automated software to extract contact information.
Public visibility of business contact details does not grant permission to send mass unsolicited promotional emails or automated sales messages. Sending spam to listed businesses using information obtained from moris.click is strictly prohibited.
You may not use bots, scraping tools, crawling software, or automated scripts to collect directory data. Any attempt to systematically extract data may result in IP blocking, account suspension, and possible legal action.
The directory database structure, organisation, and compilation are proprietary assets of Whitestone Ventures Limited and are protected from unauthorised copying or redistribution.
7. PLATFORM MANIPULATION & RANKING ABUSE
Users must not attempt to manipulate search results, listing positions, visibility rankings, or engagement metrics. The platform may use internal algorithms to determine listing order based on factors such as subscription tier, relevance, and performance.
Prohibited manipulation includes generating artificial traffic, using click farms, creating multiple accounts to boost exposure, coordinating false engagement activity, or attempting to reverse-engineer ranking logic.
Paid plans may receive priority exposure, but no user is guaranteed a specific ranking position. Attempts to pressure, threaten, or coerce the platform regarding ranking placement are not acceptable.
We reserve full discretion over listing display order. Any attempt to undermine ranking integrity may result in immediate removal without refund.
8. SECURITY & TECHNICAL MISUSE
You must not attempt to interfere with the technical operation of moris.click. This includes hacking attempts, vulnerability scanning, introducing malware, uploading malicious files, or attempting to disrupt servers.
You may not attempt to reverse engineer, duplicate, copy, or exploit the website’s code, structure, or design. Attempting to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or backend systems is strictly prohibited.
Any technical attack or suspicious behaviour may result in immediate access termination and possible reporting to authorities. Protecting the platform’s technical integrity is critical to protecting all legitimate users.
9. COMPETITOR SABOTAGE & DEFAMATION
Businesses must not use moris.click to harm competitors. This includes posting misleading claims, false allegations, defamatory descriptions, or creating fake listings designed to damage another business.
moris.click does not mediate commercial disputes. If two businesses have a disagreement, it must be resolved outside the platform.
We may remove content that appears to target competitors unfairly. Protecting a neutral business environment is essential for maintaining directory trust.
10. FRAUD & ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES
You must not use moris.click to promote scams, financial fraud, pyramid schemes, illegal financial services, counterfeit goods, or other unlawful activities.
If we reasonably suspect fraudulent behaviour, we may suspend listings immediately and cooperate with regulatory authorities or law enforcement where legally required.
We are not responsible for verifying every business in advance, but we reserve the right to remove listings that present unacceptable legal or reputational risk.
11. ACCOUNT RESPONSIBILITY
Account holders are responsible for protecting login credentials and monitoring activity under their account. Sharing passwords or failing to secure your account may result in unauthorised changes.
Whitestone Ventures Limited is not liable for losses caused by compromised accounts due to user negligence.
If you suspect unauthorised access, you must notify us immediately at info@moris.click.
12. ENFORCEMENT & TERMINATION
We may enforce this Policy at our sole discretion. Enforcement actions may include warnings, content removal, listing suspension, permanent termination, or refusal of future subscriptions.
We are not required to provide prior notice before removing content that poses risk. Subscription payments do not guarantee continued access if rules are violated.
Our enforcement decisions are final and intended to protect the platform’s integrity and legal compliance.
13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Whitestone Ventures Limited is not responsible for user misconduct, business disputes, misrepresentation, financial losses between businesses and customers, or third-party misuse of publicly available information.
Users accept full responsibility for their own conduct and agree that access to moris.click is a privilege, not a guaranteed right.
